Marine choice: saver, plus, and elite
There are three levels of cover to choose from. Each higher level builds on the level beneath it with extra protection, based on Farmers' boat insurance page.
Saver is the starting package, and it pays actual cash value. In plain terms, a payout reflects your boat's worth when the claim happens, with age and wear counted in, not the price of a brand new one.
With the Plus package you get total loss replacement cost. When a boat is destroyed beyond repair, this cover pays toward a replacement instead of just the worn-down value.

A couple of Plus features might be unfamiliar. Your deductible is the share of a claim that comes out of your own pocket, and a diminishing deductible is the kind that may shrink as time passes. Hurricane haul-out means cover tied to pulling your boat from the water ahead of an approaching hurricane.

Farmers builds packages for three boat types:

Are there discounts on Farmers boat insurance?
On the Farmers discounts page you will find multi-policy discounts, which may apply if Farmers carries more than one of your policies. No boat-specific discounts appear there.
How does Farmers handle a boat claim?
Farmers says its claims representatives are knowledgeable and will help you as quickly as they can. It doesn't promise a set timeline.
Does Farmers cover trips to the Bahamas or Mexico?
Only the Elite package includes navigation in Bahamas and Mexico waters. Saver and Plus make no mention of it.
